Risch on Anniversary of Aug 26 Kabul Bombing

BOISE, Idaho – U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-Idaho), ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, today released the following statement on the anniversary of the August 26, 2021 suicide bombing outside Hamid Karzai International Airport that took the lives of 13 U.S. service members:

“Today’s solemn anniversary is a reminder of the selfless sacrifice U.S. service members made not just during the withdrawal from Afghanistan last year, but also during the Global War on Terror. I continue to pray for the 13 Americans who lost their lives, those who were injured, and all of their families and loved ones.”
