Corker Votes to Discharge Yemen War Powers Resolution From Senate Foreign Relations Committee

November 28, 2018 - U.S. Senator Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, delivers remarks prior to voting in favor of discharging a resolution from the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to the Senate floor on the U.S. role in Yemen. The Senate advanced S.J.Res.54 by a vote of 63 to 37. Next week, absent a unanimous consent agreement, the Senate will hold a second procedural vote on the resolution. If agreed to, the Senate will then debate and potentially amend the resolution before a final vote would occur.
