Corker Calls for Section 402 of S.2155 to Be Removed During Negotiations
April 19, 2018 - During a hearing on the Federal Reserve’s supervision and regulation of financial institutions, U.S. Senator Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), a senior member of the Senate Banking Committee, said he hopes that the section of the Senate’s regulatory relief bill that would adjust the capital requirements for custodial banks will be removed from the bill during negotiations with the House of Representatives. The senator was referencing section 402 of the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act (S.2155).
