Risch Statement on Passage of 51 Trump Nominees in 6 Months of Presidency

WASHINGTON—U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-Idaho), chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, released the statement below after the Committee passed over 50 of President Trump’s national security nominees.

“I’m proud to say that in the first 6 months of President Trump’s term, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee has passed a whopping 51 nominees. Despite my democratic colleagues playing politics to obstruct our work on the floor, we have moved at a quick pace to ensure that President Trump and Secretary Rubio have the team they need to transform American foreign policy, remake the State Department, and protect our national security. I’m proud of the work we have done and thankful to my colleagues for their time and dedicated work to fulfill our duty to President Trump and the American people."
