WASHINGTON – U.S. Senators Jim Risch (R-Idaho) and Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), chairman and ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, released a statement regarding their meeting with King Abdullah II of Jordan earlier today.
“It was good to welcome King Abdullah back to the United States Senate. Amid turbulent times in the Middle East, America is grateful to have a partner for peace in Jordan. Together, we will work to strengthen the ties between our people, address terrorism, counter aggression from Iran and its proxies, and ensure our shared security interests are protected throughout the region.”
