WASHINGTON – This week, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee will convene for one full committee hearing, one subcommittee hearing, and one nominations hearing.
1. Full Committee Hearing: The committee will convene for a hearing titled Arms Race 2.0. Witnesses will include Marshall Billingslea, former Presidential Envoy for arms control, and Rose Gottemoeller, former undersecretary of State for arms control and international security.
2. Subcommittee Hearing: The subcommittee on Africa and Global Health Policy will convene for a hearing on Maritime Security in Africa: Assessing Threats to U.S. Commercial Diplomacy and National Security Interests
3. Nominations Hearing: The committee will consider Frank Weiland to be assistant secretary of State for international narcotics and law enforcement affairs. More nominees to be added.
