Senator Menendez Statement Celebrating Holi

Newark, NJ – Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ), Ranking Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, issued the following statement celebrating Holi, the ancient Indian Hindu festival known as the “festival of colors” or “Spring Festival.”

This is a visually beautiful holiday with thousands of people tossing colored powders in the air to commemorate comradery and oneness. The multiday festival of Holi brings people together and underscores the importance, especially in a diverse state like New Jersey, of recognizing and celebrating the cultures of our friends and communities. The colors of Holi are brightest when we all come together to observe this magnificent festival and tradition.”
