Ranking Member Menendez Statement in Observance of Romania’s Great Union Day

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bob Menendez (D-N.J.), Ranking Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, issued the following statement in observance of Romania’s Great Union Day, December 1: 

“As Romanian-Americans in New Jersey and Romanians around the world commemorate Great Union Day, I send my best wishes to all those celebrating. The United States and Romania already have a strong relationship, and I am especially grateful to the Romanian people for their commitment to standing with the U.S. on security issues in NATO, especially on the Black Sea. I am committed to promoting our shared security and furthering economic ties between the U.S. and Romania, and I am grateful for the partnership of New Jersey’s vibrant Romanian-American community in this goal. I look forward to many more years of working together.”
