Senate Foreign Relations Committee Week Ahead: June 12 – 16

WASHINGTON – This week, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee will convene for one nominations hearing and one closed TS/SCI briefing. The topic of the briefing will be on the Current Dynamics in U.S.-China Relations and the briefer will be the Honorable Nicholas Burns, U.S. Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China.

For all hearings, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee will follow guidelines developed in consultation with the Office of the Attending Physician (OAP), the Senate Sergeant at Arms, and the Senate Rules Committee to protect the health of members, nominees, staff, and the public. Masks and other PPE, as well as sanitation supplies, will be available at the hearing room entrance.

MEDIA POLICY: Press seating is limited. All media must RSVP to your respective gallery to reserve a seat, and only Hill-credentialed media will be permitted to attend. RSVP for all committee events, including hearings, and other special events. Cameras and audio recordings are not allowed in room S-116 for business meetings/markups. RSVP information is at the bottom of this advisory.
