Chair Cardin Statement on Itay Chen

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Senator Ben Cardin (D-Md.), Chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, issued a statement following the news that Itay Chen, a U.S.-Israeli citizen, was killed by Hamas terrorists on October 7.

“Myrna and I are devastated by the news that Itay Chen, an American citizen, was murdered by Hamas. We grieve with his parents, brothers, and loved ones at this senseless and unimaginable loss. May his memory be a blessing.

“We stand by the families of all the hostages and call for their immediate release. Bring them all home now.”
