Senator Menendez Statement on ISIL Murder of Japanese Citizen Haruna Yukawa

NEWARK, NJ – Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ), Ranking Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, issued the following statement regarding the ISIL murder of Japanese citizen Haruna Yukawa:

"I strongly condemn this brutal act of terrorism by ISIL and the murder of Japanese citizen Haruna Yukawa. The perpetrators of this vile act must be brought to justice and the reign of terror by ISIL, which has bought so much pain and suffering to the people of Syria and Iraq, must end. I offer my sympathy and support to Mr. Yukawa's family, and to the people and government of Japan. U.S. citizens have been murdered at the hands of ISIL and we all stand together in the face of these senseless and despicable acts of barbarism."
