Corker Statement on the Death of Kayla Mueller

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, released the following statement today regarding the death of Kayla Mueller, who was killed after being held hostage by the Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS).

“As a father of two young women, I cannot imagine the pain and sadness Kayla Mueller’s parents are experiencing,” said Corker. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of this remarkable and brave woman who dedicated her life to providing hope and compassion to those in need. The evil of ISIS knows no border or limit, and we must work together with our allies to be vigilant and steadfast in combatting this evil.”
